1. Commitment to Copyright Protection
SocialSnap does not host, store, or index copyrighted video files on public servers. Our software functions as an ephemeral client utility allowing creators to backup their authorized content. Nevertheless, we take intellectual property rights seriously and operate a robust notice-and-takedown procedure.
2. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe your copyrighted work is being accessed through our service in a manner that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a written notice containing the following statutory requirements:
- Physical or Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the Copyrighted Work: Clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. title, registration number, or link to original source).
- Identification of the Infringing Material: Specific URLs on our service or the exact social media URLs you request to be blocked or excluded from our extraction utility.
- Contact Information: Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, including your legal name, physical mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy & Perjury Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

4. Counter-Notification Procedure
If a user believes that material they attempted to access or archive was erroneously removed or disabled due to mistake or misidentification, they may file a Counter-Notification pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). A valid Counter-Notification must include:
- The user's physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- The user's name, address, telephone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the Federal Court.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, SocialSnap has adopted a policy of terminating or blocking access for users or IP addresses who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
6. Creator Domain & Account Exclusion Requests
If you are a digital content creator, media brand, or production studio and wish to preemptively block your social media accounts or channel URLs from being processed through SocialSnap, please email us with the subject line "CREATOR EXCLUSION REQUEST" at dmca@socialsnap.live. We will happily add your handles to our permanent extraction exclusion blacklist.
